A Spoon full of Sugar Blog's Challenge for the week was to produce a card using three brads or buttons, two patterned papers and a flower. I have using a patterned paper for the background (from stash), Pink Petticoat paper which I have used to paper piece the flower and watercan on Sweet Art Ebony and the daisy punches to make a layered flower. I have used three buttons on mine.

It has been a busy few days. I have a birthday party coming up for my little son and it all seems to be catching up with me over the last day or two - begining to stress myself about the food - too much or not enough - still have to make a birthday cake yet (a pirate ship). Deciding to go with the savoury choice for the party food and limiting the sweet options (but wondering if it will backfire on me). Haven't even placed any sweets between the layers of the pass the parcel paper - am I being mean or what?

Having a go at the Sugar Nellie Stamps again - oh so addictive!! Here I have paper pieced the flower and the watering can using Pink Petticoat papers. The other papers for the background and the flowers have come from my stash - although I think they have come with the Papercraft Essentials magazines at some point. The sentiment comes from Craftwork Cards.

Pink Petticoat from Lola's Occasion image stamps. I have used watercolour pencils to colour the image and layered it onto Bazzill cardstock. The background paper came free with Papercraft Essentials magazine. The Scalloped circle filled with confetti has been made using a scalloped circle punch, and then using a circle cutter to remove the inner circle. I have used acetate to cover the scallop circle and layer up with foam pads, before dropping in the heart confetti. The sentiment was done on the computer and then attached to the back of the scallop heart.

I have finally managed to fit in some crafting time and had a play with this Sugar Nellie, Hamish stamp. I have used an assortment of Dovecraft papers in masculine colours, along with a few daisies too, using various other papers. I really couldn't decide if I should keep the masculine theme or make it femine, in the end Idid a bit of both - will soon find some recepient, who will want to adopt this adorable little guyx

Here is Sugar Nellie Maggie (again). I really do love this stamp. I have stamped her on watercolour paper, paper pieced her dress with Pink Petticoat papers and coloured her hair and shoes with ordinary pencil and marker. The background papers are all Pink Petticoat. The flower is from my stash - although have you seen the fab flowers over on Poppicrafts (I haven't ordered from them - well not yet, but working on it), but their flowers are to die for. I do have Birthday Hamish stamp too - waiting for tomorrow to have a little play x

This is my first challenge using Sugar Nellie Stamps on A Spoon full of Sugar Blog. The Challenge this week was to use the following 3 colours on your cards Pink, Blue and Green (any shades) plus you could also use flesh colour and a little bit of brown for hair or Animals. I love the Sugar Nellie stamps and really enjoyed making this card. The Papers came free with Papercraft Essentials magazine and I also used the daisy punches for the flowers. I have used watercolour pencils to colour in the stamped image

A Christening card for a baby boy made using a template I drew. The papers are from my stash - I think they came free from Papercraft Essentials Magazine. Have added some faux stitching and some buttons.

Its approaching Father's Day and again it's time to get down to making those more difficult man themed cards. However as I am such a big fan of Sugar Nellie, I decided to use Sweet Art Ebony with her flower to make a card which is going to a father from his little five year old girl. As I also wanted to incorporate some masculine colours, I have used blue and green bazzill cardstock and some blue and green striped ribbon.
