This weeks challenge from A Spoon Full of Sugar
Circles
Make a card with a circle somewhere in the design, could be on the paper or the greeting or whatever else you can think of as long as it has a circle on.
I have used Hamish with flowers to create this card. I have paper pieced his outfit in black bazzill cardstock, and pearlised red and cream papers. The background papers are from Dovecraft and the red ribbon from Poppicrafts. The Handmade by stamped circle is made using the Handmade by stamp from Cats Life Press. The other circles have been cut out using a circle punch and the sentiments done on the computer. I have used peel off dots to embellish the circles and a few gems. I have also used a paper flower (half) from Poppicrafts and used a red marker to colour the petals. I am making these cards for my little boy's Preschool teachers and Assistants - the reasoning behind the Yellow trainers for Hamish. My Little one has a pair of Yellow trainers which he really love.

The week is flying by again, and I still have my favorite challenge blogs to link up to. This card has been done using an image from Pink Petticoat's, Lola Rose Occasions. I have used background paper from Dovecraft Charcoal papers, Bazzill cardstock, white ink pen and I coloured Lola using watercolour pencils. The flowers and ribbon have come from Poppicrafts - fabulous colours and I love the way they match with the black - have to be my favourite colours at the moment - not that I would be daring enough to be seen in a lime green bikini - or any bikini for that matter!

Another card made with a Tilda image. This time I have sat her on a flower (from Poppicrafts). The paper came from my stash - think it came with a Papercraft Essentials magazine at some point. The ribbon came from Poppicrafts too and the little ribbon slide I picked up a pack in a pound shop ages ago - with loads of them in - but hadnt found a use for them. The sentiments have been done on the computer.

Been having a play with some new Tilda's this week. I couldnt bring myself to liking these little characters before now, but thought I would try them and see how I get on - oh boy aren't they great. I did this one - I love the dress thought I would give her a polka dot one by adding some peel off dots. The Ribbons, flowers and clip are from Poppicrafts, the background paper is Doodlebug Bubblegum Stripe and Tilda has been coloured with watercolour pencils and given her some glittered wings.

While having a surf last night I found the Tilda & Co Challenge Blog, and as their theme for the weeks is Dotty (as Described below), I thought I would give it a go x

This weeks challenge is............

This weeks challenge over on A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge Blog is Checks Galore -using any type of check paper Ribbon or Brads, ect somewhere on the design.

I have used Hamish with his tractor - had to make a Christening card so thought this would do two things at once! I have paper pieced his dungarees in pale blue check - it doesn't show up on the photo really well. Have layered the image onto some blue bazzill cardstock and used some dotted ribbon from Poppicrafts. The brad comes from Poppicrafts too. The striped background paper is Doodlebug Striped Sweater 12x12 paper, and the dark blue check and other blue have come from my stash. The sentiment has been done on the computer. Have used some white peel off dots on the sentiment tabs.

The days are flying by. Summer holidays are approaching - need to get in lots of crafting time before all the crafting is put on hold while the children are home for 6 weeks. Hopefully we wont get too much rain this summer and then we will be able to enjoy the great outdoors!
A waterfall card (made it a while back). The background embossing has been done using the Fiskars shapeboss, and the waterfall pieces have been made using black and white cardstock. Have used peeloff butterflies to make the toppers.

It has been a busy week - I have made some cards which have been commissioned ones (forgot to take photos - big mistake), still will have to make the same ones again sometime and remember to take pictures. My little one celebrated his 4th birthday on Wednesday - its amazing how he suddenly became a "big boy" overnight. The things that he can do now because he is a "big boy" - how cute! We decided to take him to Toys r us to let him choose his presents - and yes it was a good idea - once we persuaded him that he already had fire trucks, and other trucks and tractors etc so he needed to get something different - ok so he chose a scooter!

Now about the card - Lola Rose from Pink Petticoats ocassions images - I have enlarged her and used water colour pencils to colour the image. The papers are from my stash, the scalloped circle made using a scallop punch, circle punch, acetate and foam pads. Have used the daisy punches again too - brilliant way of using up all those scraps.

Oh and Poppicrafts have a sale on over on their website - 15 % off their already brilliant prices so time to stock up on those fabulous ribbons, brads and flowers - Hurry though as it ends tonight!

The Birthday party on the weekend went really well (a little stressful), but a birthday party wouldnt be a birthday party without a little stress. We had a magician - Magic Kev to do some entertainment- he was brilliant and the children really enjoyed his performance (the mums and dads did too of course). I made the pirate ship cake for my little one as promise. Had a plan in my head of how I wanted it, but wasnt sure if I could actually do it - However I was pleased with the outcome. The cake is chocolate (Victoria Sandwich) which has been filled with Dark Chocolate Fudge icing. (Recipe to follow)
